Due to the COVID-19 Virus, we will be suspending live services at Temple Emanu-El. We are planning to live stream services (please see Rabbi Marc’s letter under Highlights on the website homepage), and there will be a link to the service in Rabbi Marc’ Friday afternoon Shabbat email.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, we will also be TAKING A BREAK from our Shabbat Mornings – Prayer, Practice and Prophets at the Temple.

Shabbat morning services are on the first and third Shabbat of each month. Our mornings begin with a pot luck breakfast at 8:30. Our service begins at 9:00. It is not a full service. Rather, we pick one part of the service each week and explore the fixed prayers through song, chants, niggun, and poetry.

We also study aspects of traditional service choreography, and traditional and modern interpretations of prayer. Following prayer and practice, we study the Prophets. The prophetic voice has been central to Reform Judaism. Their voice is timeless. In the turbulent times we live in, it will do all of us well to raise the volume of their call. We aim to complete our Shabbat morning program around 10 A.M.
